United Crash Out, Madrid Advance

After a great build up to the second leg of the tie, fans were really looking forward to this from both sides.

Real Madrid took hold of most of the possesion but United took the lead early in the second half through a Sergio Ramos own goal.

Just moments later the ref decided to give Nani a red card, a very unexpected one which changed the game inside out. Luka Modric fired home 10 minutes after the sending off. That would have taken the tie to ET but it was none other than Ronaldo who struck home just moments later to go up 3-2 on aggregate.

The game ended so but it would have been different had the ref not given a biased red card. This really puts me off being a Manchester United fan as we were in full control of the game, we shut them down really well, we created chances.

But this just goes to show you how one decision can change up the shape of the fixture. Treble dream is gone.
